Entry Time for Online Firearms Licensee Information Increased
The deadline for online data entry of firearms license holders of Dhaka district has been extended. It has been extended from October 10 to October 15.
On Wednesday (October 11), Dhaka district administration sources informed this bout the extension of time. The matter was notified in a public notice signed by the District Magistrate on October 9.
According to the notification, the deadline for online data entry of firearm license holders has been extended till October 15 in order to complete all activities including renewal of firearms through the Digital Arms Management System (DAMS) prepared by the Public Security Department of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Ministry of Home Affairs.
It is requested to submit the required documents along with original license, photocopy of NID and TIN certificate and passport size photograph, signature of the license holder to the Firearms Branch of the District Magistrate's office by filling the required information in the prescribed form within the extended period.
The notification further states that in case of failure to submit information of firearm license holders within the extended period or due to negligence of firearm license holders, the information cannot be uploaded in Digital Arms Management System (DAMS), no firearm license can be renewed in future using DAMS system.
Before this, a public notification was given on October 3. It was fixed till October 10.
